FALMOUTH – Jamie Ross homered twice and scored three runs as Nova Seafood beat Falmouth 13-3 to complete a sweep of an American Legion baseball doubleheader Saturday.

John Hardy added four hits for Nova in the second game. Falmouth’s Matt MacDowell and Mitch Beaulieu each had a solo home run.

Nick DiBiase had three hits and two RBI in the opener, pacing Nova (3-0) to an 8-3 win. MacDowell collected three hits and drove in a run for Falmouth.

CHEVERUS 10, MOODY’S 6: Tyler Flaherty had four hits and an RBI to pace Cheverus (2-0) to a win over Moody’s (0-2) at Portland.

Louie DiStasio’s two-run triple in the eighth sealed the win. He finished with four RBI and earned the save.

Steve Broy and Justin Roy each had two hits and two RBI for Moody’s.

FAYETTE-STAPLES 11, BONANZA 1: Matt Turnage drove in three runs with a double and a triple, and Steve Trask added two RBI as Fayette-Staples (2-0) cruised to a win at Saco.

Max Dube hit a three-run homer in the third inning to make it 5-1.

Ethan Gouin led Bonanza with an RBI double.

KENNEBUNK 4, NOBLE 1: Taylor Landry pitched a five-hitter with 12 strikeouts and one walk as Kennebunk opened its season with a win over visiting Noble Post 87 (0-1).

Mike Kinney hit a two-run single.

Josh Rogers drove in Noble’s run and had two hits.

MORRILL POST 14, ORTHOPEDIC ASSOCIATES 5: Paul Reny hit a single, a double and a triple, and Evan Indorf added a three-run homer as Morrill Post overcame a three-run deficit at Yarmouth.

John Medici pitched a seven-hitter with six strikeouts and added two hits.

Jordan Haskell hit a single and a double for Orthopedic Associates.

STAPLES CROSSING 13, POST 56-YORK 12: Jake Chamblee singled and scored when Tyler Hotte’s grounder was mishandled in the ninth inning as visiting Staples Crossing (2-0) beat Post 56-York (0-2).

Jack Verrill led Staples Crossing with four hits and three RBI. Tanner Chase had five RBI for York, including a grand slam.

SEACOAST LAW & TITLE 8, LIBBY-MITCHELL 5: Trevor Clouatre hit a three-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to break a 5-5 tie and lift Seacoast Law & Title (1-0) to a win over Libby-Mitchell (0-3) at Scarborough.

Jamie Lappin had a pair of hits and drove in a run for Libby-Mitchell. Greg Viola added two RBI.

BRISTOL SEAFOOD SWEEPS FIRST TITLE: Lucas Watson crossed the plate with the fifth run of the sixth inning for Bristol Seafood (3-0), giving the home team a 20-10 lead and a mercy-rule victory over First Title (1-3) in the second game of a doubleheader sweep in Portland.

Bristol won the first game 9-5, as Jamie Gullbrandt had four hits and scored three times.

Taylor Py and Gulbrandt each had two hits in the second game. Nick Payne pitched three scoreless innings in relief.
