PORTLAND – Kyle Danielson and Nick DiBiase helped power Nova Seafood to a 12-5 victory over Andrews Post in an American Legion baseball game Thursday night.

Danielson had a two-run triple in the first inning and DiBiase contributed a three-run homer in the second as Nova (13-0-1) took charge early against Andrews (1-11).

John Hardy added a double, two singles and three RBI, and Mason Morgan picked up the win in his first start of the season.

MORRILL POST 6, FIRST TITLE 2: Winning pitcher Matt Lee hit a two-run double in the first inning as Morrill Post (6-4) defeated First Title (8-4) at Cheverus High’s MacDonald Field.

Zach Horton extended the lead to 5-0 with a two-run homer in the fifth. Morrill Post turned three double plays.

Nick Melville had three hits and one run for First Title.

SBS/BS, KENNEBUNK SPLIT: Chris Jones had four hits, three RBI, two runs and three stolen bases to help Saco-Biddeford Savings/Biddeford Savings (8-4) to a 14-4 win in the opener before Tom Snow held them to two runs on seven hits in five-plus innings to help Kennebunk take the second game 5-2 at Biddeford.

Mike Vadnais picked up the win in the opener and also had two hits and two RBI.

In Game 2, Snow hit an RBI triple and scored on Pat Fulford’s single to help Kennebunk take a 3-0 lead in the first.

STAPLES CROSSING 12, MASSABESIC 7: Sam Woodbury, Ian McAllister and Jacob Chamblee each had two hits and Staples Crossing used four multiple-run innings to defeat Massabesic (2-8) at Waterboro.

Hunter Duncan and Casey Nava each had two hits for Massabesic.

BONANZA OF SANFORD 18, POST 87 TITANS 8: Mike Gouin and Dan Reed knocked in three runs apiece as Bonanza of Sanford (5-7) downed Post 87 (0-12) at Sanford.

FAYETTE-STAPLES 10, POST 56-YORK 8: John Dupee and Fred Randall each hit a two-run single as Fayette-Staples (9-3) scored six runs in the third inning for a 9-2 lead against Post-56 York at Saco.

JUNIOR LEGION

SEACOAST LAW AND TITLE 4, FALMOUTH 1: Aaron Duncanson allowed three hits and no earned runs in leading Seacoast Law and Title (6-2) over Falmouth (6-5) at Westbrook.

KENNEBUNK 7, LIBBY-MITCHELL 6: Nate Gilbert walked and scored on an error in the top of the eighth to lift Kennebunk (7-2) over Libby-Mitchell (3-7) at Scarborough.

Kennebunk overcame a 5-0 deficit with five runs in the fourth. Lucas Butterfield, Charlie Horton and Nick Hartos had RBI singles.

WINDHAM 3, CUMBERLAND 2: Joe Bryant pitched a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts and Joe Francoeur singled home the winning run in the sixth inning as Windham beat visiting Cumberland.

Windham’s Cody Dube and Matt McLean each had two hits.

LEWISTON 4, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: David Cusson broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the sixth to lift Lewiston (12-1) to a win at Cape Elizabeth (5-4).

Luke Farrago struck out 11 in five innings for the win.

COLE POST 4, FREEPORT MEDICAL CENTER 0: Ryan Camire pitched a five-hitter with six strikeouts to lead visiting Cole Post (4-7) over Freeport Medical Center (1-9).

Jimmie Chaisson and Jeff Lemay each hit a home run.

YARMOUTH 16, LEBANON 3: Nick Lainey had a double and four RBI and pitched a complete game to lead Yarmouth (8-4) to a win at Lebanon (1-9).
