LEBANON — A 25-year-old Lebanon man had to be hospitlized tonight following an altercation with the occupants of a pickup truck, who the victim claims were dumping bags of trash on his land.
Jason A. Cole, Lebanon’s Assistant Rescue Chief, said the victim confronted the pickup truck driver. His clothing somehow became entangled in the truck’s door or window and the man was dragged along the ground for about 100 feet.
The truck fled the property which is near River Road and Flat Rock Bridge Road. The incident took place around 6 p.m.
Maine State Police are handling the investigation.
Cole said the victim was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H. where he was treated for ‘road rash’ and pain. His injuries were considered to be non life threatening.
