NEWINGTON, N.H. — A 31-year-old Maine man has been charged with theft for allegedly stealing an $11,000 diamond ring from a New Hampshire jewelry store in what police called a “grab and run.”
Police said Travis Mullen, of Sanford, turned himself in to police on Saturday, two days after he allegedly swiped the ring from a Kay Jewelers store in Newington, N.H.
Investigators said a video surveillance camera shows Mullen snatching the ring and running out of the store without paying for it.
Police said a tipster led them to Mullen after the surveillance video was released.
