The chef will be signing his debut cookbook, “Flying Pans — Two Chefs, One World,” and preparing the tuna as well as a vanilla-spiced shrimp dish from Puerto Rico.

Chili contest fuels Meals on Wheels

THE SOUTHERN MAINE Regional Chili Cook-off will fill lots of bellies, because it’s a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels. The winner qualifies for the International Chili Society World Chili Championship in Manchester, N.H., Oct. 1-3.

WHEN: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday

WHERE: Scarborough Downs, 90 Payne Road, Scarborough

HOW MUCH: $7; $5 if you also bring two canned goods for the Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn; free for ages 11 and under with one canned good.
