YORK — Calling hours will be held Friday for a York teen who died from injuries she suffered in a car accident on Oct.6 on Interstate 295 in Yarmouth.

Erika Jolie, 18, who died on Friday, was apparently sending a text message when the car she was driving crossed the median and hit a northbound sport utility vehicle around 3:48 p.m. Wednesday.

State Trooper Larry Rose said on Thursday that he found a partial text message on Jolie’s cell phone after the accident.

The calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home in York. A memorial celebration will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion in York.
