PORTLAND — The condition of a 20-year-old Portland woman who was injured Saturday when she jumped off the Casco Bay Bridge has improved.
A nursing supervisor at Maine Medical Center in Portland said Amanda Mason was upgraded from serious to fair condition today.
Mason leapt from the South Portland side of the bridge at 3 p.m. on Saturday, sustaining serious injuries when she hit the Fore River.
Portland Police got a ride from a fishing boat to reach Mason, who was then transported to Maine Medical Center for evaluation.
