STANDISH — Quarterback Jamie Ross passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead No.3 Deering to a 28-6 win over No. 2 Bonny Eagle in a Western Maine Class A football semifinal game this afternoon at Bonny Eagle.

Ross opened the game with a 67-yard scoring pass to Renaldo Lowry and ended it with a 20-yarder to John Hardy with time running out.

Bonny Eagle (8-2) beat Deering 34-12 in the regular season, but this time Deering (8-2) intercepted two passes and recovered two fumbles.

Deering will play No. 1 Cheverus (10-0) for the regional title at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Cheverus’ Boulos Stadium.
