Army National Guard Spec. Andrew R. Townsend is returning to the United States after a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn, or Afghanistan serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Townsend, a wheeled vehicle mechanic with three years of service, is regularly assigned to the 1166th Combat Heavy Equipment Transport Company, Worcester, Mass. He is the son of Sherm Hall of Sanford and Nickie Murray of Hollis Center and is a 2006 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School, Buxton.
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jessica H. Skidmore recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline at Ballston Spa, N.Y., and qualified as a naval nuclear operator. She is a 2005 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School, Topsham, and joined the Navy in June 2007.
