FALMOUTH – Nick Breed scored with 4:26 remaining Wednesday night to lift Cape Elizabeth to a 4-3 victory against Greely in a boys’ hockey game at Family Ice.

It was the first loss for Greely (11-2-1), the top-ranked team in Western Class B, against a Class B opponent this season.

Wilson Laprade assisted on the winning goal, and had a goal and another assist earlier in the game for the third-ranked Capers (10-4).

Justin Murphy scored twice in the first period for Greely.

Jake Rosenfield had 36 saves for Cape Elizabeth.

BIDDEFORD 5, KENNEBUNK 2: Brady Fluerent had two goals and an assist for the Tigers (12-2) against the Rams (5-10-1) at Biddeford.

James Jamieson scored twice, and Tyler Audie added a goal and an assist for Biddeford.

Kurt Oakman scored both goals for Kennebunk.

Tyler Morton made 26 saves for Biddeford. Jordon Kadlik had 42 for Kennebunk.

BONNY EAGLE 3, LAKE REGION-FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Joe Call scored the goal that broke a 1-1 tie with 10:20 remaining and the Scots (4-11) went on to beat Lake Region-Fryeburg Academy (3-11) at Gorham.

Call assisted on two other goals. Josh Bagley added a goal and an assist, and Garrett McElrath had 17 saves for Bonny Eagle.

Tyler LeGoff had 22 saves and Mike LeGoff scored for Lake Region-Fryeburg Academy.

BREWER 13, WINSLOW 1: Tyler White scored a hat trick and Evan Nadeau added two goals to lead Brewer (14-0-1), the defending Class B state champion, past the Black Raiders (4-10) at Winslow.

Kyle Alexander, Brody Valley and Spencer Valley each scored twice for the Witches, who outshot Winslow 48-16.

Josh Larson scored for Winslow.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

BUCKFIELD 51, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 38: Kasey Robertson scored 19 points for the Bucks (6-11) against the Lions (3-14) at Buckfield.

Greater Portland Christian was within four points with two minutes remaining before turnovers and foul shots allowed Buckfield to extend its lead.

Ben Hammond had a double-double, scoring 19 points to go with 20 rebounds for Greater Portland Christian.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

DEERING 56, PORTLAND 46: Kayla Burchill had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Rams (16-1), who opened with a 21-11 run against the visiting Bulldogs (5-13) at Portland.

Burchill scored 10 points and Ella Ramonas had eight of her 15 in the first quarter. Chelsea Saucier finished eight points.

Nicolette Kapothanasis scored 24 points for Portland on four 2-pointers, three 3-pointers and seven foul shots. Nyaliep Deng had 14 points.

LIVERMORE FALLS 44, CARRABEC 30: Marissa Welch scored 18 points to lead the Andies (15-3) over Carrabec (6-12) at North Anson.

Kara Hebert led Carrabec with 11 points.

RANGELEY 61, PINE TREE ACADEMY 7: Emily Carrier scored 19 points to lead the Lakers (15-3) over Pine Tree (2-15) at Rangeley.

Sierra Macharcos added 14 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals for Rangeley.

MADISON 44, MT. ABRAM 35: Sam Bruce scored 16 points as the Bulldogs (8-10) beat the Roadrunners (6-12) at Madison.

Kirsten Wood added 11 points, and Lyndsay Weese had nine rebounds and five assists for Madison.

Tori Beane had eight points for Mt. Abram.

CAPE ELIZABETH 46, YARMOUTH 29: Emily Donovan scored a career-high 24 points with 10 rebounds and eight steals as the Capers (9-8) handled the Clippers (1-16) at Cape Elizabeth.

Donovan scored 12 in the first quarter as the Capers opened an 18-2 lead.

Olivia Smith had 11 points for Yarmouth.

GEORGES VALLEY 50, LISBON 31: Kennadi Grover scored a game-high 17 points for the Buccaneers (10-8) against the Greyhounds (6-12) at Thomaston.

Jill Bradbury contributed 10 points for Georges Valley.

Denise Thomas led Lisbon with 16 points. Alexa Harmon added 10.
