PORTLAND — Local groups will host a community dialogue about the future of Maine’s immigrant youth on Saturday at the Root Cellar.

Students, educators and representatives of nonprofit agencies have been invited to speak about this “untapped talent pool.”

Topics include what it takes to be successful in America and the problems that are facing today’s immigrant youth.

The free, public event at 94 Washington Ave. will be hosted by Living With Peace, Atlantic Global Aid and the East Bayside Neighborhood Association.

The dialogue will be from noon to 4 p.m. Various ethnic foods will be served at 4:30 p.m. Music, singing and dancing will continue until 8 pm.
