Cape football registration
Cape Elizabeth football is holding a registration night Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria for youth, middle and high school players. The booster fee is $135. After July 1, the fee is $150. FMI, capeelizabethfootball.com.
SMCC softball goes 2-2 over weekend
The Southern Maine Community College softball team went 2-2 last weekend, losing a home doubleheader to Briarcliffe (N.Y.) College (11-7, 20-5) and sweeping Central Maine CC (2-0, 1-0) to improve to 14-16 overall (8-0 in conference play). Kim Hunt (four hits, 18 strikeouts) and Candace Hall (17 Ks) earned the victories.
