People of Falmouth, don’t let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip away because of short-sighted thinking and scare tactics. Think long term. Think of a library with children’s teen, adult and reference sections; with expanded access to computers, where there is dry storage space, meeting rooms and space for the behind-the-scene activities that make libraries work.
Think of going to the library to go online then checking out a DVD and a book or two and walking down to the Community Center to take a class, shoot a few hoops or meet friends at the Senior Center to play cards or board games, hear a lecture or just visit with one another.
Don’t let this chance to reuse these buildings pass us by and be lost forever. Vote Yes on referendum Question 1.
