Cabela’s sporting goods company is creating a big incentive for anglers to cast their lines.
The company has launched a national fishing competition in which the grand prize is $1 million.
According to the media reports, the company has tagged more than 1,000 fish in lakes across the United States. In Maine, the tagged fish can be found in two bodies of water.
They are Cobbosseecontee Lake in the Manchester/Monmouth area and Long Lake in Naples/Harrison.
The competition, called “Wanna Go Fishing for Millions?” offers other prizes for snagging one of the tagged fish, including a $10,000 Cabela’s shopping spree.
Anglers must be registered to claim their prizes.
