I am writing in support of the peoples veto which will protect the voting rights for the people of Maine.

We need to remember Election Day registration has worked in Maine for more than 40 years. There’s absolutely no reason to eliminate it.

We need to pay attention when Maine’s town clerks association fought against eliminating Election Day registration because they don’t want to deny people the right to vote.

There are people all over Maine that have come together for this grassroots campaign to restore our voting rights.

I urge all Mainers to vote yes in November to protect our voting rights.
