KENNEBUNK – The town’s second annual Harvest Fest is under way along Main St.

The event, organized by the Kennebunk Festival Committee, has various activities scheduled throughout the day for family friendly fun. The farmer’s market is set up, along with booths of local vendors and an “Apples and Art Day.”

A costume parade will fill Main St. around 11 a.m. followed by a ribbon cutting for the new Mousam River Bridge at the corner of Main and Water streets. Travelers down Route 1 have been faced with a detour as crews worked to replace the bridge spanning the Mousam River.

Bands will play throughout the afternoon and the fireman’s muster starts at 2 p.m.
