YARMOUTH – Caleb Uhl and Anders Overhaug scored three touchdowns each Saturday to lead Yarmouth to a 50-6 victory against Freeport in the third annual Battle of the Bay football game in Western Class C.

Nose tackle Ben Weinrich of Yarmouth (8-0) was named the Yarmouth MVP after making 15 tackles with one sack. Freeport’s MVP was Morgan Kuntz.

Overhaug finished with 236 yards on eight carries. Outside linebacker Matt Woodbury of Yarmouth had 12 tackles and two fumble recoveries against the Falcons (5-3).

MT. BLUE 55, WATERVILLE 14: Mt. Blue (7-1) spotted the Purple Panthers (4-4) a 14-point lead, then took control at Waterville.

“They’re taller, they’re bigger, they’re faster. We made a game of it, we just ran out of ammunition and they had quite a bit of it,” Waterville Coach Frank Knight said.

Mt. Blue will be the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Class B playoffs. Waterville will be the No. 5 or No. 6 seed.

TRAIP ACADEMY 42, SACOPEE VALLEY 6: Tyler Nay ran for 99 yards and three touchdowns and Corey Aldecoa ran for 110 yards and two scores to lead the Rangers (6-2) past the Hawks (0-8) at Kittery.
