ROCHESTER, N.H. – Carly Lee scored from Nicci Heroux midway through the third period Wednesday night and York went on to a 2-1 victory against Portland in a schoolgirl hockey game.

Gabi Carboni scored from Raechel Allen and Kylie Dalbec on a power-play goal in the first period for the Bulldogs (4-2).

Rachel York set up Sammy Stocks with 23 seconds left in the first for York (6-2).

Olivia Drew made 22 saves for York. Rachel Waterhouse stopped 28 shots for Portland.

GREELY 9, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Meg Finlay finished with two goals and an assist, Mary Morrison had a pair of goals, and Freyja Victory added a goal and two assists as the Rangers (6-1) defeated the Capers (2-5) at Portland.

Etta Copenhagen also scored, and Shannon Donovan and Paige Tuller had one goal and one assist each.

FALMOUTH 6, CHEVERUS 1: Megan Fortier had a natural hat trick for the Yachtsmen (7-0) against the Stags (3-3) at Falmouth.

Fortier scored three straight goals in the second period to put Falmouth ahead, 5-1.

Gabby St. Angelo, Lucy Meyer and Abby Payson also scored for Falmouth.

Alex Logan answered for Cheverus.

GORHAM-BONNY EAGLE 5, BIDDEFORD 4: McKenzie Collins and Charlotte Smith each scored twice as Gorham/Bonny Eagle (1-9) edged the Tigers (1-5) at Biddeford.

Collins got the winner 6:43 into the third period following an assist from Mariah Taylor.

Sammi Grant also scored for Gorham/Bonny Eagle.

Jenna Roy had three goals and Victoria Eon scored once for Biddeford.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

MARSHWOOD-TRAIP ACADEMY 8, WINDHAM-SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Peter Lajeunesse finished with four goals and an assist, and Corey Wright added a goal and four assists to lead the Hawks (5-0) past the Wings (0-5) at Dover, N.H.

Owen Phillips and Blake Connor of Windham-Sacopee Valley scored one goal each.

Ryan Tobey had two goals for Marshwood-Traip, Nick Deveau scored one, and Andrew Hale finished with three assists.

YARMOUTH 10, NOBLE-WELLS 2: Marshall Brunelle had four goals and two assists, and Alex Kurtz added three goals and an assist as the Clippers (2-2) handled Noble/Wells (0-4) at Rochester, N.H.

Eamon Costello had a goal and three assists, and Max Watson also scored for Yarmouth.

Bryce Aldrich and Patrick McLoon answered for Noble/Wells.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

WAYNFLETE 45, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 28: Martha Veroneau scored 20 points and Catherine Veroneau chipped in 10 as the Flyers (3-2) topped the Panthers (2-4) at Yarmouth.

Charlotte Esancy scored nine points for NYA.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 30, SACOPEE VALLEY 20: Christina Coleman scored 11 points as the Seagulls (1-3) defeated the Hawks (1-4) at South Hiram.

Kelsey Custeau had seven points for the Old Orchard, which outscored the Hawks 17-6 over the middle quarters for a 22-12 lead.

Chelsey Burnell had six points for Sacopee Valley.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

WAYNFLETE 57, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 18: Mohammed Suja scored 11 points as the Flyers (5-0) defeated the Panthers (1-4) at Portland.

Paul Runyambo added seven points and Max Belleau finished with six for Waynflete, which led 17-0 after one quarter.

Asad Dahia had eight points for NYA.

TUESDAY’S BOYS’ BASKETBALL

GREELY 59, CAPE ELIZABETH 47: Bailey Train scored 17 points for the Rangers (3-2), who took a 10-6 first-quarter lead and held off the Capers (3-2) at Cumberland.

Michael McDevitt added 16 points and nine rebounds, and Liam Maker had 11 points, 13 rebounds and five assists for Greely.

Henry Babcock had 21 points for Cape Elizabeth.
