SANFORD – Emily Cole scored all nine of her points in the second half to help Deering earn a 38-32 win over previously undefeated Sanford in a Southern Maine Activities Association girls’ basketball game Thursday.

Cole made three 3-pointers as the Rams (3-2) outscored Sanford 27-17 after the break.

Marissa MacMillan was the high scorer for Deering with 10 points.

Katelyn King led Sanford (3-1) with 12 points, and Taylor Littlefield added 10.

MARSHWOOD 64, WINDHAM 58: Jorden Mitchell scored five points in overtime and Hannah Ferguson drained a 3-pointer as the Hawks (3-2) beat the Eagles (3-2) at Windham.

Mitchell finished with 21 points and Aubrey Folger added 13.

Meghan Gribbin scored 22 points and Diandra Berthiaume had 17 for Windham.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 58, WELLS 53: Haley Cote made a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Patriots (3-2) rallied past the Warriors (4-2) at Gray.

Gray-New Gloucester trailed 31-22 at halftime but closed to within 42-41 after three quarters, aided by eight points from Maria Valente and seven from Stephanie Greaton.

Valente finished with 15 points, Cote scored 14 and Greaton had 11. Allison Furness led Wells with 19 points. Mariyah Heath added 16.

LAKE REGION 50, CAPE ELIZABETH 18: Tiana-Jo Carter had 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Sydney Hancock contributed 11 points and four steals as the Lakers (5-0) beat the Capers (2-3) in Naples.

Carter scored eight points during an opening 18-6 run.

Kelsey Winslow had 10 rebounds, and Sarah Hancock and Rachel Wandishin each made four steals.

YORK 55, FREEPORT 49: Marquis MacGlashing finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Emily Campbell added 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Wildcats (5-1) over the Falcons (2-3) at York.

Nina Davenport paced Freeport with 23 points. Leigh Wyman chipped in with 13.

FALMOUTH 47, TRAIP ACADEMY 39: Jackie Doyle scored 14 points and Ally Hickey had 10 as the Yachtsmen (5-1) defeated the Rangers (4-2) at Kittery.

Selena Lorrey led Traip with 20 points, including three 3-pointers.

YARMOUTH 32, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 28: Morgan Cahill scored 10 points for the Clippers (2-4), who took a 15-5 halftime lead and held off the Raiders (1-5) at Fryeburg.

Jeanna Lowery added nine points for Yarmouth. Skye Dole scored 10 for Fryeburg.

GREELY 47, POLAND 31: Jaclyn Storey scored 12 points and collected eight rebounds for the Rams (5-1) in a win over the Knights (0-6) at Cumberland.

Greely opened a 13-3 lead after one quarter.

MT. ARARAT 44, BRUNSWICK 27: Molly Estes scored all eight of her points during the fourth quarter as the Eagles (4-1) pulled away from the Dragons (2-3) at Topsham.

Mallory Nelson led Mt. Ararat with 15 points.

MT. BLUE 38, OXFORD HILLS 34: Gabby Foy scored 13 points, including nine in the third quarter, to lead the Cougars (2-3) to a win at South Paris.

Alex Rowe scored 12 points to lead Oxford Hills (2-3).

JONESPORT-BEALS 50, VINALHAVEN 47: Morgan Merchant scored 37 points as Jonesport-Beals (1-4) rallied past visiting Vinalhaven.

Ashley Hamilton and Alex Slivinsky had 16 points apiece for Vinalhaven.
