YARMOUTH – Josh Britten had 19 points and 11 rebounds Friday to lead Yarmouth to a 53-52 victory against Greely in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy basketball game.

Britten also hit a shot with 27 seconds left in the third quarter to give the Clippers (7-1) a 41-40 lead after the Rangers (4-4) rallied from a 35-27 halftime deficit to take a 40-39 lead.

Chris Knaub added 16 points for Yarmouth. Liam Maker scored 19 for Greely.

A.R. GOULD 48, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 37: Zacharia Mohamed finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Chris Thomas and Keelin White added seven points each to lead the Bears (4-1) over the Panthers (1-6) at South Portland

Asad Dahia finished with 29 points for NYA.

BIDDEFORD 59, KENNEBUNK 40: Bobby Cote scored 20 points and Cameron Nadeau added 16 to lead the Tigers (4-4) past the Rams (2-6) at Biddeford.

Nicholas Leblond chipped in seven points and seven rebounds for Biddeford, which led 31-16 at halftime.

Austin Sandler and Hank Lapham combined for 21 points for Kennebunk.

BRUNSWICK 59, MT. BLUE 56: Mitchell Black scored 17 points to lead the Dragons (6-3) over Mt. Blue (5-3) at Brunswick.

Black had five points in the third quarter as Brunswick outscored the Cougars 20-12 to stretch a 32-30 halftime lead to 52-42. Mt. Blue scored the first eight points of the final quarter to narrow the lead to 52-50, but Black sank a 3-pointer as Brunswick outscored the Cougars 7-6 the rest of the way.

Ryan Black added 13 points and Brad Smith 12 for Brunswick. Steven Yardley scored 13, Nicholas Hilton 12 and Cameron Abbott 11 for Mt. Blue.

CHEVERUS 77, SANFORD 52: Louis DiStasio scored 19 of his 23 points in the first half as the Stags (7-1) handled the Redskins (3-5) at Portland.

Ten other Stags had at least a basket, led by Shawn Grover with nine points.

Ryan Camire added 11 points for Cheverus.

WAYNFLETE 54, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 38: Mohammed Suja scored 18 points and Serge Nyirikamba added 10 to lead the Flyers (7-0) over the Raiders (0-8) at Fryeburg.

Suja sank a pair of 3-pointers early in the fourth quarter to give the Flyers a 44-29 lead.

Bright Amoako had 11 points for the Raiders.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 65, WATERVILLE 52: Isaac Greenrose scored a season-high 31 points, and Ryan Ripley added 14 points and nine rebounds to lead Medomak Valley (7-1) past Waterville (4-4) at Waldoboro.

Alex Greenrose added nine points and Deering Genthner had five assists for Medomak Valley, which led 50-29 after three quarters.

Josh Gormley scored 12 points, Brandon Braley 11 and Maxwell Brown 10 for Waterville.

NOKOMIS 55, MORSE 44: Ethan Pearl scored 24 points to lead the Warriors (7-1) past the Shipbuilders (2-6) at Bath.

Spencer Hartsgrove added 12 points for Nokomis, which forced 15 turnovers in the first half on the way to a 27-16 lead.

Ted Cole scored 19 points for Morse. Cody Snyder had 10.

FALMOUTH 62, FREEPORT 34: Matt Packard scored 14 points and the Yachtsmen (8-0) opened each half with a lopsided run against the Falcons (1-6) at Freeport.

Alex Cattell added 11 points, Grant Burfiend had nine and Charlie Fay finished with eight for Falmouth, which led 13-2 after one quarter and went ahead 51-18 with a 16-3 surge in the third.

Joshua Weirich had nine points and Chandler Birmingham added eight for Freeport.

BONNY EAGLE 70, NOBLE 38: Dustin Cole had 17 points, Cole Libby added 16 and the Scots (6-2) used long-range shooting to sink the Knights (0-8) at North Berwick.

Cole, Libby and C.J. Autry (13 points), each made three 3-pointers for the Scots, who hit 12 3-pointers.

Anthony Baker had 14 points and Chris Colburn added 11 for Noble.

PORTLAND 73, WINDHAM 38: Justin Zukowski had a game-high 13 points with seven steals, five rebounds and four assists as the Bulldogs (6-2) downed the Eagles (1-6) at Portland.

Zack Lane, Jayvon Pitts-Young and Nate Smart each had 10 points for Portland, which opened with a 21-7 run.

Dylan Weisser led Windham with nine points.

SCARBOROUGH 49, THORNTON ACADEMY 44: Dillon Russo and Ben Wessel scored 10 points each to help the Red Storm (4-4) down Thornton Academy (4-3) at Scarborough.

Kevin Manning hit two 3-pointers at the end of the first half to give the Red Storm a 24-21 edge. Scarborough maintained its lead and made 6 of 7 free throws in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Adam Ek led Thornton with 13 points.

MARSHWOOD 72, WESTBROOK 59: Matt Crosby scored 22 points and Marshwood (6-2) hit 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Blue Blazes (4-4) at Westbrook.

Jack Verrill added 12 points, Brady Innes scored 11 and Daniel Veino had 10 for the Hawks.

Matt Moody scored 11 points and Keenan Lowe finished with 10 for Westbrook.

FOREST HILLS 66, RICHMOND 29: Evan Worcester scored 25 points for Forest Hills (5-3) against the Bobcats (2-5) at Richmond.

Matt Turner added 14 points and Brandon Ouellette scored 10 for the Tigers. Nate Tribbett led Richmond with 10 points.

CAPE ELIZABETH 61, POLAND 49: Henry Babcock and Rob West each scored seven points in the third quarter as the Capers (5-3) padded a five-point halftime lead to a 13-point cushion against Poland (5-3) in Cape Elizabeth.

Babcock led Cape with 22 points, Sam Donnelly scored 11 and West 10. Ricky Bryant had 20 and Logan Nichols 17 for the Knights.

WINSLOW 62, CAMDEN HILLS 57: Justin Murray scored 20 points and added 10 assists to lead the Black Raiders (4-4) past Camden Hills (7-2) at Winslow.

Austin Ireland added 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Trevor Lovely had 18 points.

Adam Carlsen scored 15 points and Taylor Hall had nine for Camden Hills.

VALLEY 75, ISLESBORO 17: Carrington Miller had 19 points, seven steals and four rebounds as the Cavaliers (7-0) cruised past Islesboro (0-8) at Bingham.

Josh West added 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Valley , and Caleb Wade chipped in with 13 points and seven assists.

Charlie Cilley scored seven points for Islesboro.

MT. VIEW 74, OAK HILL 41: Ryan St. Clair scored 14 points to lead the Mustangs (3-6) over Oak Hill (0-9) at Wales.

Bobby Porter added 10 points for Mt. View.

Parker Asselin scored 17 points for Oak Hill. Sam Morin chipped in with 12 points.

LAWRENCE 50, OXFORD HILLS 45: Keith Chesley scored 14 points, and Alex Leathers and Emmitt Faulkner added eight each to lead the Bulldogs (6-2) over Oxford Hills (2-6) at South Paris.

Josh MacDonald had 11 points to lead the Vikings.

OCEANSIDE 53, MARANACOOK 47: Despite 16 points from Kyle Boucher, the Black Bears (3-5) fell to Oceanside (5-3) at Readfield.

Shea Davenport scored nine points, and Ben Wallace, Isiah Stone-Patterson, Tyler Gibson and Sam Meklin each had eight for the Mariners.

Jesse Evans added nine points for Maranacook.

BANGOR 69, CONY 61: Ellis Throckmorton and Robbie Brookings combined for 49 points to lead Bangor (6-2) over Cony (2-6) at Augusta.

Throckmorton finished with 26 points and Brookings added 23 for Bangor.

Josiah Hayward led Cony with 20 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter.

HOCKEY

THORNTON ACADEMY 4, BIDDEFORD 0: Robbie Downing scored twice as the Trojans (5-1) shut out the Tigers (3-2-1) at Biddeford.

Nick Chen scored in the first period, then Downing got an unassisted goal 48 seconds into the second. Brian Dallaire made it 3-0 at 11:19 of the second.
