The Appalachian Mountain Club is again offering its international dinner and adventure series. This involves a cuisine from another culture, with a four-course family-style dinner, and a guest speaker who tells an adventure from that region. Guests may BYOB. Wind Power Talk, 7 to 9 p.m. in Falmouth
Kate Williams of the Biodiversity Research Institute has worked with shorebirds, wading birds, seabirds, passerines and mammals across Maine. At Maine Audubon this week, she will provide an overview of wildlife issues related to wind power development, with a focus on birds and bats. Farm Work, 10-11:30 a.m. in New Gloucester

Join Mid-Coast Audubon leader Don Reimer at Pemaquid Lighthouse parking lot for a morning of sea scanning for seabirds, gulls and songbirds along the coast around the lighthouse. Call 273-3146.
Bird Walks, 8 a.m. in Freeport
Geared toward birders of all skill levels, free guided walks are offered every Saturday at Freeport Wild Bird Supply. Meet at the store at 541 Route 1. Usually, walks involve a short car-pool trip to a local site of seasonal interest. Bring your binoculars or borrow a pair, and come out to see some birds and learn about their habits.
