TOPSHAM — Tyler Charron hit seven 3-pointers and scored a game-high 27 points as the Mt. Ararat High School boys basketball team rolled to a 78-56 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over Skowhegan on Tuesday.

Brandon Johansen chipped in 15 points for the 2- 13 Eagles, while Josh Wright added nine, and Mason Griffin and Brett Martin eight apiece.

Barnes paced Skowhegan (3-12) with 25 points.

Mt. Ararat is scheduled to visit Cony on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Visiting Lincoln Academy jumped out to a 12- 2 firstquarter lead en route to a KVAC Class B win at Bath.

“The game was up-tempo, with both teams struggling to finish at the basket,” said Morse (4-11) coach Todd Flaherty, whose team visits Gardiner on Friday (7 p.m.).

The Shipbuilders trailed 20- 12 at the half and 33-23 after three quarters.

Ted Cole led Morse with 13 points, while D’Vaughn Myers chipped in 10.

Dylan Leavitt paced Lincoln with 13 points, and Bo McLain had eight.

Morse finished five of 14 at the line, while Lincoln was six of 17.

VALLEY 51

Carrington Miller scored a game-high 22 points leading Valley to an East-West Conference win at Bingham.

The Warriors, who avenged a 44-39 upset loss at Richmond Jan. 19, led 12-10 after a quarter, 28-18 at the half and 40-27 through three quarters.

Dylan Belanger added 10 points for the hosts, while Seth Malloy had nine. Valley (11-4) was 10 of 22 at the foul line.

Richmond ( 4- 10), which hosts Hyde School on Friday, was 10 of 16 at the charity stripe and received 10 points each from Ben Carver and Sean Bernier. Kade Strout pulled down nine rebounds.
