SOUTH PORTLAND – On The Border restaurant at the Maine Mall was robbed, and an employee assault, late Monday night, according to the South Portland Police Department.
According to a department press release, two males accosted a restaurant employee behind the restaurant, near the dumpsters, at around 10:45 p.m. While one of the robbers held the employee, the other entered the restaurant and confronted the manager, who was forced to turn over the cash.
Both robbers, described as males approximately 20 years of age, of average build and about 6 feet tall, then ran from the area. One of the employees suffered minor injuries from the assault.
The suspects were both wearing all-black clothing and what appeared to be ski masks covering their faces. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 799-5511.
