Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park offers nature programs year-round every weekend. This week’s program focuses on the wonder of Maine’s pine tree forest. Come check out the latest in maritime fun at the Portland Boat Show at the Portland Sports Complex on Warren Avenue. The show will be held Thursday through Sunday. Hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $7 for adults; $3 for children ages 6 to 12; and free for youth under 6. Bird Walks

8 a.m. in Freeport

Free guided walks are offered every Saturday at Freeport Wild Bird Supply. Meet at the store at 541 Route 1. Usually, walks involve a short car-pool trip to a site of seasonal interest. Bring binoculars, or borrow a pair, and come see some birds and learn about their habits. For information, call 865-6000.
