PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — The Bowdoin College men’s tennis team wrapped up its western swing with a convincing 9-0 win over Salisbury on Wednesday.

The Polar Bears finish their California trip with a 3-4 record in seven matches, including six matches against nationally- ranked teams. Bowdoin is currently 3-5 on the year and is ranked 14th nationally.

Bowdoin wasted little time dispatching the Sea Gulls on Tuesday afternoon, jumping to a 3-0 lead after doubles play and not losing a set in singles play. The doubles teams of Sam King/Oscar Pena, Kent Winingham/Noah Bragg, and Alex Jacobs/Peter Davis all cruised to victories. Casey Grindon, Nicholas Fenichell, Andrew Won, Kyle Wolstencroft, Davis and Doug Caplan all earned singles points in the shutout.

The Polar Bears are scheduled to return to action with a pair of matches in Connecticut on March 31, at Wesleyan and at Trinity.
