BOWDOINHAM — The Board of Selectmen is scheduled to discuss fundraising for the skate park during its meeting this evening, before it later considers awarding a contract to design the skate park the town plans to build next to Mailly Waterfront Park.

The meeting will start at 5:30 p. m. at the Coombs Municipal Building.

Selectmen also are scheduled to meet with Cindy Lamoreau to discuss the comprehensive plan.

The board is slated to consider action on awarding a skate park design contract and authorizing the town manager to sign the contract. The town received four proposals for the design work, from Hardcore Design Studios; New Line Skateparks, Inc.; WhoSkates; and Pillar Design Studios, LLC.

The board is to consider action on awarding a contract for Ridge Road construction and authorizing the town manager to sign the contract. According to the bid tabulation posted on the town’s website, the town received bids from Reno’s Excavation; T Buck Construction; LP Poirier and Son; Harry C. Crooker and Sons; Off Road Construction; Ray Labbe and Sons; and McGee Construction.

Bids range from $127,466 to $162,775.

Also during today’s meeting, selectmen are slated to consider acting on funding for projects approved by the town’s 250th Anniversary Committee

Town Manager William Post will give an update on the fiscal year 2013 budget and on code enforcement.
