BRUNSWICK — Planning do-it-yourself concerts in his apartment — dubbed “The Bombshelter” — has been a crash course in logistics for Nick Dentico.

Just before the last concert planned for Saturday, Dentico had to jump another hurdle. His former landlord.

After moving out weeks ago, Nick had one final show planned for Saturday, detailed in Thursday’s edition of The Times Record.

Now, the show is moving to the Morrell Meeting Room of Curtis Memorial Library after Dentico said his former landlord ordered Saturday’s five-band engagement off.

In the months Dentico has run the shows, he said he’s not had any problems with neighbors, police, or his landlord, until planning for this final show.

A January article in The Times Record profiled the concert venue that attracted an average of 15 listeners for small, intimate concerts with local and regional musicians.

The change of venue will bring five bands to the library meeting room from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

After that show, Dentico said he’s still seeking a permanent space to keep the music playing.

With any space from a bedroom to a basement with at least two — preferably three — power outlets, Dentico said he can continue to put on concerts in Brunswick.

The Saturday show will feature hip-hop artist JE Double F alongside the bands Huak, Speaker for the Dead, Awaas, and Pineries running from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

For anyone with ideas for available concert space going forward, Dentico can be reached at subversive.intentions@gmail.com.
