BRUNSWICK — Robert G. Snider, 70, died May 2 at Mid Coast Hospital after a long illness.
Snider was born May 20, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of George R. and Elizabeth Snider. He attended Brooklyn schools.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for several years and was discharged in 1962.
For many years, Snider worked as a sales route delivery driver for companies including Humpty Dumpty Potato Chips, Archway Cookies and a milk and bread company. He was also a motor route carrier for the Brunswick Times Record for several years.
Snider is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Snider of Brunswick; daughter, Elizabeth Snider of Uxbridge, Mass.; stepsons George Skog of Florida and Tom Skog; stepdaughters Paula and Kristina Skog of Providence, R.I.; brother James Snider of New York; sisters Dottie Connors of Staten Island, N.Y., Janet Carroll of Florida and Madelyn O’Neil of New Jersey; and six grandchildren.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011.
