Crews from Barsons/Briockerhoff, a private bridge inspection company hired by the Maine Department of Transportation, continue today to inspect the Frank J. Woods Bridge as part of a biannual safety inspection conducted on truss bridges throughout the state. Although the northbound lane of the bridge will remain closed through Wednesday evening, traffic in downtown Brunswick on Monday was “actually very, very smooth,” Brunswick Police Sgt. Russ Wrede said today. “There were no issues.” (Beth Brogan / The Times Record)
