LISBON — This year only, Lisbon High School is listing the academically ranked top 10 students as well as using a system that identifies students as cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude to denote academic achievement. Starting next year strictly the later system will be utilized for the Class of 2013. The following is the Class of 2012 honorees listed alphabetically:

Jordan Beauparlant is the daughter of Lori LaChance and David Diglio. She has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. She has received the Harvard Book Award, Student of the Quarter and the Scientific Inquiry Award. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been active in Science Olympiad and Operation Christmas Child.

Beauparlant will attend Bentley University majoring in actuarial sciences.

Jessica Campbell is the daughter of David and Lisa Campbell. She has attained the status of cum laude. She has been active in basketball, field hockey and the yearbook staff. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Government and Students Against Destructive Decisions.

Campbell has received recognition as an All-star in field hockey, in basketball, and Camp of Knowledge Honor Roll. She will attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle with an undeclared major.

Jessiah Carlson is the son of Richard and Cheryl Carlson. He has attained the status of top 10 and cum laude. He will attend Full Sail University in Orlando, Fla., majoring in sound engineering.

Alex Danforth is the son of Keith and Roni Danforth. He has attained the status of cum laude. He has been active in band, the Tech Club, and Science Olympiad. He was named a Student of the Quarter. Danforth will attending the University of Southern Maine with an undeclared major.

Samantha Foote is the daughter of James Foote. She has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. She will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute majoring in chemical engineering.

Nikkole Gardner is the daughter of Kevin and Cheryl Gardner. She has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. Gardner will attend Simmons College to major in nursing.

Sarah Giraldo is the daughter of Hernan and Mary Giraldo. She has attained the status of top 10 and summa cum laude. She has been involved in soccer, basketball, tennis (captain), Science Olympiad, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Anime Club, Drama Club, Envirothon Club, Interact Club, Art Club and Outing Club. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has received awards including National Hispanic Recognition

Program Scholar, Girls State delegate, MVC All-star in Tennis, President’s Volunteer Service Award, Maine Youth Excellence in Art Exhibition, and has been a Scholar Athlete.

Giraldo will attend Simmons College where she will major in art and exercise sciences.

Justin Grant is the son of George and Pam Grant. He has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. He has been active in Science Olympiad, Androscoggin Valley Educational Collaborative Gifted and Talented, The Green Team, soccer and ice hockey. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has been recognized as an MVC All-star in soccer, an MVC All Academic Award, and a Boys State delegate.

Holly Hogan is the daughter of Sandy Hogan. She has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. She has been active in Upward Bound, Science Olympiad, the National Honor Society, tennis, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Civil Rights Team, and the art club. She has received recognition as a Student of the Quarter and as a junior marshal.

Hogan will attend Colby College majoring in biology with a focus in pre-med.

Melissa Hoskins is the daughter of Ronald and Brenda Hoskins. She has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. She will attend Boston University and major in Asian studies.

Bethany Lemay is the daughter of Jean and Grace Lemay. She has attained the status of cum laude. She has been active in drama and has been a Student of the Quarter. Lemay will attend the University of Southern Maine majoring in education.

Katherine Lemieux is the daughter of James and Kerry Lemieux. She has attained the status of cum laude. She has been active in Students Against Destructive Decisions, soccer, and class activities. She has received recognition as an MVC Academic Allstar. Lemiuex will attend the University of Maine at Farmington where she will major in biology and pre-med.

Kimberly Morse is the daughter of Linda Morse. She has attained the status of cum laude. She has been active in National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, and softball. She has received recognition as an All-star in softball and as a Student of the Quarter.

Morse will attend the University of New England and major in biology and premed.

Kody Priddle is the son of Scott and Beth Priddle. He has attained the status of cum laude. He has been active in baseball, cross country, Science Olympiad, student government, and the Interact Club. He has received the WCSH’s Teens Who Care Award and Scholar Athlete Award and was a congressional nominee to the Naval Academy.

Along with his twin brother Kyle, Priddle will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he will major in aeronautical engineering.

Kyle Priddle is the son of Scott and Beth Priddle. He has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. He has been active in the Interact Club, class activities, Science Olympiad, National Honor Society, cross country, and baseball. He has received a congressional nomination to the Naval Academy, the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Award and was a delegate to Boys State.

Along with his twin brother Kody, Priddle will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to major in aerospace engineering.

Morgan Reeves is the son of Jim and Inma Reeves. He has attained the status of cum laude. He has been active in class activities and high school sports. He will attend the University of Maine at Orono majoring in mechanical engineering.

James Stewart is the son of Scott Stewart and Jennifer Wood. He has attained the status of cum laude and will attend the University of Southern Maine to major in behavioral sciences.

Angel Strout is the daughter of Bob and Aline Strout. She has attained the status of cum laude. She has been active in field hockey (captain), and the yearbook and the prom committee. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions and Project Graduation Committee.

Strout will attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle to major in physical therapy.

Meagan Thomas is the daughter of Larry and Diane Thomas. She has attained the status of top 10 and magna cum laude. She has been active in cross country, track, and a leader of the junior youth group at her church. Thomas was recognized as most improved female runner and Student of the Quarter, and has received the coaches’ award for cross country. She also was the first female from Lisbon High School to make it to the New England Cross Country Championships.

Thomas will attend the University of Southern Maine where she will major in nursing.

Virginia Tolbert is the daughter of Scott and Laura Tolbert. She has attained the status of cum laude. She has been active in track and soccer. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Outing Club, Interact Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and Junior Volunteers. She has been a Student of the Quarter.

Tolbert will attend Maine Maritime Academy where she will major in marine biology and small vessel operations.

The Lisbon High School Class of 2012 graduation is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave., Lewiston.
