BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Town Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today in regular session in the town council chambers at Brunswick Station, 16 Station Ave.

Following the pledge of allegiance, roll call, a period reserved for public comment, correspondence and adjustments to the agenda, the council will address the following items:

— Council committee updates.

— Permission to accept and expend a Homeland Security Grant for $37,750 to replace four of the fire department’s back-up radios.

— Report on changes to the health inspection law.

— Public comment and consideration of a special amusement license for Maine & Noble LLC, doing business as the Inn at Brunswick Station, J. Hilary Rockett, 4 Noble St.

— Consideration of a request from the Brunswick Downtown Association for the First Days of Summer event to be held the week of June 18 through June 23.

— Consideration of authorizing the town manager to seek proposals for the demolition of the former Times Record building at 6 Industry Road.

— Consideration of setting a June 18 public hearing on amendments to the General Assistance ordinance, based on law changes, to reduce the overall maximum level of assistance by 10 percent and adopt the “temporary” housing assistance limit.

— Consideration of appointments to the town’s boards and committees.
