TWO LOCAL CONGREGATIONS are celebrating anniversaries in 2012. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick is celebrating its 200th anniversary and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is marking its 50th year. The pastors of these congregations met June 12 at the Morrell Room of the Curtis Memorial Library to take part in a Community Conversation on Immigration sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church. At that time, the Rev. Rebecca Wegner, right, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran, presented an anniversary gift to the Rev. Sylvia Stocker of the Unitarian Universalist Church for that church’s rebuilding fund. The church was damaged in a 2011 fire.
