BRUNSWICK — Three area teens are among Mainers vying for the title of Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen 2012, while one local lass competes for the title of Miss Maine 2012.

Emily Baker, Charlotte Crosby and Audrey Thames, all of Topsham, will compete for the Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen 2012 title this evening at Crooker Theater in Brunswick High School.

On Saturday, Felicia Hagerthy, 18, of Woolwich, will compete for the title of Miss Maine 2012, also at Crooker Theater.

The winners of both titles will be announced during the 76th annual Miss Maine Scholarship Pageant on Saturday at Crooker Theater.

The Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen Program is the sister program to the Miss Maine Scholarship Program, the official state preliminary to Miss America.

The winner of the teen pageant goes on to compete at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Fla., in August. Miss Maine will compete in the Miss America Pageant, which will be aired on ABC television, in Las Vegas in January 2013.
