BRUNSWICK — The Goodwin Motor Group recently donated a van to the Coastal Humane Society for transporting animals to and from satellite adoption centers, outreach events, and clinics.

Founded more than 60 years ago, the nonprofit Coastal Humane Society has cared for and adopted tens of thousands of animals. Each one is spayed or neutered, and fully vaccinated. For more information, visit www.coastal humansociety.org or call 725- 5051.

In other news, Frank Goodwin and Goodwin Chevrolet Buick also made a donation.

Last summer, Lake Region High School athlete Kevin Gilson was involved in a car crash that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Already on the road to recovery, the young man has since started his journey to walk again.

Frank Goodwin, contacted by a close friend of Gilson’s through Goodwin Chevrolet Buick’s Facebook page, donated $500 for expenses, with Goodwin expressing his admiration for Gilson’s ambition in his recovery.
