BANGOR (AP) — A coalition supporting passage of the same-sex marriage proposal on Maine’s November ballot plans to announce new supporters, including members of the clergy and faith communities.

A news conference is being held today in Bangor by Mainers United for Marriage, the coalition supporting the initiative.

Protect Marriage Maine, which opposes the referendum, also claims support of religious groups.
