BATH — Merrymeeting Bay TRIAD will sponsor an AARP driver safety program from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 31 at the Bath Area Senior Center on Floral Street.
The classroom refresher course is designed for drivers age 55 and older.
“You will increase your understanding of safe driving techniques, learn recent changes in the Rules of the Road, receive a three-year discount on your car insurance, have fun, make new friends and, most importantly, become a better safer driver,” a release about the program states.
The cost is $12 for AARP members or $14 for nonmembers. Teachers taking the course pay a special rate of $5. Make checks payable to AARP. Payment will be accepted on the day of the class.
