FALMOUTH — The Falmouth Youth Soccer Association has donated $65,000 to fund improvements to Falmouth Community Park on Winn Road.
The money is being used to make drainage and parking improvements for the front playing fields and add speed bumps throughout the park. The work began in mid-June and will be completed by mid-August.
“We’re excited to be in a position to help enhance the park for all youth sports in Falmouth,” said John Scribner, association president.
The town is expected to make other improvements to the park, including gazebo work and the addition of new playground equipment on the front fields.
The association plans to donate an additional $15,000 for park improvements later this year.
