YARMOUTH — “Grantsmanship and the Grant Writing Process” is the subject of a training that will be held on Aug. 7 at the Skyline Farm Visitors’ Center in North Yarmouth.

According to a news release, the event features a session specifically for individuals interested in writing grants on a freelance/contractual basis for nonprofit and governmental clients.

The training will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the freelance-specific component from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.

Pre-registration is required; cost is $95 for the workshop only and $110 includes the “Grant Writing for Freelancers.” All handouts, snacks and lunch are included in the price.

Illene Roggensack of Third Sector Innovations will facilitate the training, providing an overview of the process for securing grant revenues for an organization or special project. Roggensack has taught grant writing for nearly 20 years and has secured tens of millions of dollars in private and public grants.
