TOPSHAM — Cathance River Educational Alliance and Topsham Public Library will present “Wind Over Wings Live Birds” on Saturday at the library from 10 to 11 a.m.

According to a news release, Hope Douglas founded the nonprofit organization, Wind Over Wings, about 20 years ago. The group brings birds into classrooms, conference centers, auditoriums and places of worship or homes for environmental education programs. Birds in their care are unable to survive in the wild. Each of them offers inspiration with their stories of courage, adaptability and resilience, notes the release.

Programs are conducted by trained educators and are interactive and age-appropriate. Among the birds to see are a golden eagle, red-tailed hawk, great horned owl and saw-whet owl.
