WESTPORT ISLAND — Kennebec Estuary Land Trust invites the public to visit the Squire Tarbox Farm, 177 Post Office Road, for a farmer-led tour and a picnic at Bonyun Preserve on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m.

According to a news release, farmers Kyle De Pietro and Angie Trombley- De Pietro will provide a tour of the farm, including discussion of crops, growing methods, history of the property, and time for questions.

The De Pietros grow a wide variety of edibles and have earned certification from the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardner’s Association.

Produce will be available for purchase following the tour.

After the tour, participants are invited to a guided walk and waterfront picnic at KELT’s Bonyun Preserve located five minutes from the farm.

The hike will be led by Archie Bonyun, son of the donors of the conservation land. Lunch will be provided by the Starlight Cafe in Bath.

There is a $20 fee for the farm tour and lunch and reservations are required.
