ON WEDNESDAY, Aug. 22, the Brunswick High School boys varsity soccer team dedicated some of its practice time to helping the Cathance River Education Alliance. Coach Mark Roma, top right, and his team performed a variety of tasks on the Cathance Preserve trail system as well as in and around the Cathance River Ecology Center. Cheryl Sleeper, director of site support at the ecology center, was impressed by their work ethic and attitude, “They really accomplished a lot in a short amount time and we appreciated their efforts. We would like to continue this next year and start a tradition.”
