Author Schilling at Expo

Author Shonda Schilling will be the keynote speaker at the second annual Health & Wellness Expo, to be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Portland Expo on Park Avenue.

The event, sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in partnership with the Portland Press Herald, is free and open to the public.

Schilling will sign autographs and discuss her personal experience and her book, “The Best Kind of Different: Our Family’s Journey with Asperger’s Syndrome.”

The expo will feature more than 100 exhibitors, free health screenings, interactive information, educational displays, flu shots and more.

Craft fair Saturday

Arundel Historical Society’s Annual Craft Fair will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mildred L. Day Memorial School Gymnasium on Limerick Road.

A bake sale, refreshments, lobster rolls and raffles also will be available.

Men’s suits to be given away

Creative Work Systems and Men’s Wearhouse have partnered for the fifth annual National Suit Drive and distribution program.

The agencies have been collecting gently used men’s business attire since July for men who are jobless, seeking employment and in need of but unable to pay for quality professional attire for the workplace.

Those items will be distributed in a large giveaway event set for Tuesday at the Portland CareerCenter at 185 Lancaster St.

The suits will be offered to those with an appointment from 9 a.m. to noon and to the general public from noon to 2 p.m.

Co-sponsored by USM Southern Area Resource Team (SMART) for Schools, this year’s topic is “Reading Comprehension: Foundations and Instructional Practices, K-12.”
