As an outdoorsman, I was pleased to learn that Jennifer DeChant has been endorsed by Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine. My neighbor Jennifer, who is running for state Representative in Bath (District 62), received an “A” from this statewide organization that supports conservation and the preservation of outdoor recreation.
We earned our hunting licenses around the same time. I can attest to her commitment to gun safety and I have witnessed her instilling that awareness in her sons, along with the belief that we cannot take Maine’s woods and waters for granted.
This prestigious SAM endorsement goes a long way in recognizing that we need legislators who are mindful to preserve and protect Maine’s natural resources and who will seek ways to balance that with the importance of outdoor recreation in Maine. That is just one of the many reasons I encourage Bath voters to support Jennifer DeChant for House District 62.
