Hyde School founder Joseph Gauld has written a new book, “What Kids Want — and Need — From Parents: How to Bond With and Mentor Children.”
Gauld’s fourth book outlines a parenting process that has proven to inspire thousands of families, according to the publisher, Argo Navis.
The book was released Oct. 10, and is available at the Hyde website, Amazon.com and other national outlets.
Gauld’s work is founded in the belief that the deepest motivation in children compels them to bond with parents, who serve as mentors to prepare them for life, according to a summary.
Gauld writes that many parents today, failing to understand this, become unwittingly sidetracked by well-intentioned concerns like self-esteem, achievement and family harmony. “While they may develop good relationships with their children, they fail to experience the rich mentorship and bonding that nature intended,” he said.
“…The deepest motivation in children compels them to bond with parents who serve as mentors and who work with their children to prepare them for life,” Gauld said.
“What Kids Want — and Need — From Parents: How to Bond with and Mentor Children,” outlines a parenting process that “thousands of families have successfully undertaken who have had their children attend a Hyde school,” according to a news release. “This book provides parents with the tools to facilitate that transformative experience.”
