BRUNSWICK — Maine Prep South, Maine Prep’s new satellite office located at 778 Main St., South Portland, opens for business Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Maine Prep South will offer SAT prep classes and private tutoring for all SAT and ACT test dates. The official opening eight-session SAT course meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday, Jan. 9 through March 6, to prepare students for the March 9, 2013, SAT test.
Brunswick-based Maine Prep was founded by Jack Mahoney in 2002 to help Maine students raise their SAT and ACT scores, boost their admissions chances, and qualify for merit scholarships.
With the expansion into South Portland, the company now teaches SAT classes in 12 different locations from Bangor to Kennebunkport and employs a faculty and staff of 14.
