In naming Burns as its choice for 2013, Mainebiz noted that CMP is a seven-time leader in customer satisfaction as ranked by J.D. Power & Associates, and a recipient of national recognition from the Edison Electric Institute for leadership in storm recovery.

“This is a well earned honor for Sara, and we are pleased to add our own congratulations to this recognition,” said Bob Kump, Iberdrola USA’s chief executive officer. “Sara is deeply respected for her leadership within our U.S. subsidiaries and throughout Iberdrola’s global operations.”

Mainebiz named three executives representing large businesses, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations from more than 75 of the state’s most exemplary leaders nominated for the award.
