BRUNSWICK — Following a successful February fundraising event, The Gelato Fiasco has donated more than $500 to Bath’s Morse High School to support its Project Graduation program.
Hundreds of students, parents and school staff attended the event, which took place at The Gelato Fiasco’s flagship store in Brunswick. Student musicians entertained the crowd and two Morse teachers, Johnna and Brian Stanton, were on hand acting as “celebrity scoopers.”
The event was part of Gelato’s Scooping for Community program, which helps support local schools and nonprofit organizations in the communities served by The Gelato Fiasco in Cumberland County. Since last October, the company has donated more than $4,000 through the program.
Gelato will continue to host Scooping for Community days throughout April and May. Upcoming events will help raise money for the Portland based nonprofit A Company of Girls, Falmouth High School, and the Friends School of Portland.
