SOUTH PORTLAND — Business operators and residents are needed for the new Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee.
City Manager Jim Gailey and Planning & Development Director Tex Haeuser said the committee that will steer implementation of the updated Comprehensive Plan adopted by the City Council last fall will meet about once a month on Wednesday or Thursday nights, with breaks in the summer.
Haeuser said the committee should have nine members, including residents from the eastern, central and western sections of the city, and someone from the City Council, Planning Board, Conservation Commission and city Economic and Development and Energy and Recycling committees.
Anyone interested in joining the committee should contact Haeuser at chaeuser@southportland.org.
