AUGUSTA — The Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Maine MEP) recently announced that Steve Levesque, executive director of the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, has been elected to serve on its board of directors.

A leading figure in promoting business development in Maine, Levesque brings to the board more than 32 years of experience in economic and community development, land use planning and business management services.

“Maine MEP welcomes Steve Levesque to our board and looks forward to benefiting from his expertise and knowledge of Maine’s business community. His extensive work attracting manufacturers to the former Brunswick Naval Air Station and the outstanding leadership he provided as Maine commissioner of Economic and Community Development give him a breadth of experience that will be valuable to Maine MEP,” said Bruce Pulkkinen, board chairman.

Levesque holds a B.A. in political science and an M.S. in environmental studies from California State University, Fullerton.
