On July 11, 1977, he married Doris Lottie Ehmke in Brookshire, Texas. Don proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy for 24 years. He was a member of Los Escondidos MC, loved to ride motorcycles and be around people. He especially loved his family and his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Doris Herring; son, Jason Herring; daughter, Dawn Herring; mother, Billie Adams; brothers, Robert Herring and James Herring; sister, Sue Hahn; as well as other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy, Texas, with Rev. Paul Crandall officiating.
